Brooke's 5th birthday

Brooke had a Fancy Nancy party so all of her guests dressed in their fanciest clothes. They were too cute!

Halloween

This year Brooke was a cheerleader, Luke was an army guy, and Drew was a S.W.A.T. team guy. We had a beautiful night for trick or treating and they loaded up on the candy, of course!

New nieces and nephew

We went to St. Louis Matt's 20th high school reunion in mid October. He had fun reconnecting but we were most excited about meeting our new niece, Anne Marie and our twin niece and nephew, Ainsley and Grant. They are very cute! We will get to see them again at Thanksgiving.

Andrew's birthday

Andrew is now 9 years old! We celebrated by going to Cedar Point Amusement Park (with Mom and Dad, who went on the scariest ride there!). My dad got him a fishing pole and a tackle box which he loves. He won't be a BAIT fisherman for long though.

Kids' Duathlon

The boys competed in their first duathlon in early September. They had a great time doing it and we were so proud of them! Luke got first place out of the seven year olds. They both say they are ready for the triathlon next year. Of course I am so excited about that.

First day of school

Here are the kids on their first day of school. We had a great summer but they were somewhat excited to go back. Actually the boys were hesitant and Brooke was thrilled.

Anneke's visit

We had a great time with Anneke and Lauren. Anneke enjoyed spending time in Macy's dog crate. The kids loved having her around.

Trip to Maine

We had a great time in Maine this summer. We met Matt's parents and enjoyed, kayaking, making smores, biking, swimming in the COLD water (the kids did), whale watching (those of us who didn't get sea sick!), looking at the beautiful Maine scenery, and eating LOTS of lobster and blueberries. We also did a little sight seeing in Boston on the way there and ended the trip with a visit to Old Sturbridge Village which is a historic 19th century village in Sturbridge, MA.

Macy - our latest addition

Her is our newest addition to the family. We love Macy! She is a Golden Retriever and we got her when she was eight weeks old. She is wonderful and we have had so much fun with her.

spring break

We had a great time in TX over spring break. We had fun with cousin Anneke (she'll be one on May 24th), fishing with dad, visiting Baylor, playing in Barton Springs in Austin, and eating at The Salt Lick BBQ.

After the storm

The day after the storm we woke up to sunny blue skies. Since church was cancelled we spent most of the day sledding and making tunnels and caves in the mounds of powdery snow. The boys spent some time throwing snow back into the streets in an attempt to have a snow day on Monday. No luck! The last snow picture is a video.

Here are some pictures of our blizzard of 2008. We are completely snowed in and we had to cancel Luke's birthday party. We went sledding this morning during a lull.

Here are some pictures from Cancun. We had a great time and enjoyed being warm. My parents came to stay with the kids (God bless them!). They had thier fair share of snow and we ALMOST felt guilty.
