We had a fabulous time in Texas for spring break. It was so nice to get away from the stress of everything at home for awhile that I actually feel relaxed upon our return and ready to tackle the busy week ahead! We began our trip in San Antonio visiting with our good friends, the Blazeks. We stayed at the Hill County Hilton in San Antonio and as we sat in the warm sun and watched the kids play in the pool, I realized that it was the most relaxed I had been in months! It was a wonderful feeling! We visited the Riverwalk and the Alamo and hung out at the hotel.
On Sunday, the kids and I left for Georgetown while Matt went to Houston to see the Baylor game. We spent the rest of the week in Georgetown and Austin with my parents, Lauren, Johan, and Anneke. We visited the LBJ Ranch, Zilker Park and Barton Springs, Lady Bird Wildflower Center, Matt and the boys went to Waco, men and boys went fishing while women and girls shopped in Salado, laughed at my nutty niece, ate tons of good food all week long, admired the bluebonnets, celebrated dad's birthday, and had one trip to the doctor and two to the emergency room! Matt was sick and Andrew got a metal pail to the head and needed two staples. So it was a typical Bendick vacation! We can rarely vacation without medical intervention!

Wow, that first picture of the 5 of you is a great photo! who took it?!
Hey Camille...saw your video on FB and saw your blog link about adoption. WOW!! Robert and I have considered this. My sister is a foster parent, and so we've considered lots of options as far as taking in a child, but I'm not sure exactly what route we will take. I'd like to get Cozy in kindergarten first. So excited for your family. You will be in our prayers.
Great pics of Spring Break. I just missed you guys. I was in San Antonio about three weeks ago and could hardly believe I'd left the warm pool-side spot in the sunny hill country when we were sliding all around the road on ice a few days later in Santa Fe...HA
I'll be anxious to hear updates on your adoption. So exciting!!! Take care...
